Von is a Kirksville, MO native and Truman State ROTC graduate. Upon graduation, he served as an Infantry Officer with the 3rd Infantry Division, a combined arms and mechanized infantry division in Germany. Upon receiving a medical discharge from the Army, he served with the Department of Public Safety at Truman State University. He is actively involved in Veteran’s causes in Adair County.
